Fall on Maui is some of the best wedding weather of the year. The trade winds ease up, the light gets that warm golden quality, and the crowds thin out just enough to make everything feel a little more intimate. October weddings on the island consistently bring some of the most relaxed, joyful energy I encounter all year.
This reception was no exception. The dance floor opened early and never really closed. Guests ranged from the couple’s college friends to grandparents, and the music had to speak to all of them — which is exactly the kind of challenge I love. Threading the needle between eras, genres, and generations without losing the room is the art of wedding DJing, and nights like this one are proof that it works when you get it right.
